Yomassage is a unique blend of restorative postures, breath-work, mindfulness, and therapeutic touch. While you relax in supported, restorative positions, as your certified Yomassage therapist, I will guide you through mindful breathing and provide massage with the goal of activating your parasympathetic nervous system, or PNS.
When your PNS is activated, your heart rate and respiration slows down, digestion increases, and your body works towards restoring energy and finding homeostasis, or balance. The goal of a Yomassage session is to restore a sense of peace and balance through out your whole being.
Expect to move gently into several supported positions on a yoga mat, then rest there for 8-10 minutes while receiving massage in each position. The only physical requirement is to be able to get down onto and get back up from the floor. No prior experience necessary and all props will be provided.
Yomassage can be experienced in an individual session or in a small group setting. I am able to accommodate 1-2 people in my studio. I am also available off-site for groups of up to 5.
I am also certified in Yomassage Self-Care, Energetic Yomassage, which incorporates Reiki energy work into a session, and Trauma Informed Bodywork. I'm happy to focus your Yomassage session on a specific area or with your specific goals in mind.
